Blue Rhapsody

It is the Blue Note, 1954, an indigo bubble of neon light illuminates the modest stage where a saxophone genius finishes his solo and a smooth brass trumpeter begins. His soulful licks pour like blueberry sauce into a willing audience and the band's driving rhythm raises the roof like the lid bouncing off a boiling kettle. The ceiling disappears and gorgeous night comes spilling in, haunted by an orange moon.
